Greetings from your
RGC President
Vicki Sanders Corporon

Vicki Corporon.RGC.jpg

It was great to see you, ladies and gents … as we reunited after our summer break with tales of gardening, travels, family and friendship gatherings, and all the other refreshing delights.

I hope you enjoyed the photos I shared at the September meeting of the Huntington Gardens of San Marino, California, a place not-so-near to me anymore, but dear to my heart: These are spectacular gardens, worth a visit if you are ever in the Los Angeles area.

Don’t forget to please send me your garden pics for the Glorious Gardens & Garden Glories segment at our next meeting.

If you weren’t able to attend the September meeting, you’ll still be able to pick up your new RGC yearbook for your reference on activities, member contacts, sponsors, and important reference information on our club and affiliate state and national clubs.

A GRIPPING NOVEL SET
ON THE NC COAST

I’ve added another fiction title to our Suggested Reading list. This one takes us to our coast for a remarkable introduction to marine ecology and “life on the edge” of existence. Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens kept me up till 3 am the first night and by the next day I had finished the tale. Gripping! It’s a mystery, a tale of survival, a love story, and a testimony to the compelling life of a devoted naturalist and artist. I was one of 4000 on the waiting list locally (for one of 400+ copies); it was worth the wait!

Happy gardening, reading, and the growing of friendships!

Vicki
